This innovation is applying the knowledge and insight of the lighting industry into the educational sector.

Role of partners?
Different departments within Philips (development, marketing, production, sales) were participating, the required research was carried out by the University of Hamburg and Twente, and different schools from the Netherlands and Germany were involved.

Why is it needed?
This innovation introduces the dynamics of daily light into classrooms. It shows that children improve their concentration significantly, valuate their learning environment much more, the motivation of children is being enhanced, and they cooperate much more.
