Hybrid Plattform Berlin

The Hybrid Plattform is an initiative of the Berlin University of the Arts and the Technische Universität Berlin, in the heart of Campus Charlottenburg, Berlin, founded to support projects in research, development, and education. Funding has been provided for three years (as of April 2011) by the European Regional Development Fund, through the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research as part of “Project Future”.

The projects of the Hybrid Plattform are built upon the unique qualities of each university, forming mixed teams to work on and research key topics and questions pertaining to a future beyond the boundaries of university disciplines. These cooperations in research and education allow for broader solutions, which would not come to fruition without this form of transdisciplinary support.

The innovations fostered by the Hybrid Plattform have the potential to create changes in working methods, research fields, teaching formats and the products of the future. This potential is a key focus for the relationship of the Hybrid Plattform with industry, as exemplified in the Hybrid Plattform association. Hybrid Plattform – Association for the Advancement of Transdisciplinary Projects on the Campus Charlottenburg e.V. supports the transfer of technology and knowledge to other research institutions and companies.
