BATNA Group is a first B2B purchasing group in Poland. We implement in Poland innovative purchasing model using the scale of purchasing group. We manage and organize purchasing groups dedicated to particular categories of products and services such as: electricity (including energy audits), fuel, medical services, office supplies, printing, telecom services.

BATNA Group in a transparent manner minimizes the cost of purchases in companies of any size and industry. We use strength-building benefits of the Purchasing Group for each of its members. BATNA Group is a proprietary model of consolidating purchases of unprecedented scale in Poland. In last six months we consolidated in Groups budgets worth more than 25000000 Euro.

What quite innovative in Poland, participation in Groups is free. BATNA Group earns a portion of earned savings, taking on the analysis of the needs of each customer, creating strategy for the implementation of the savings, selection of the best suppliers and negotiating terms with them and finally signing of a bilateral agreement between a member of the Group and the provider and monitoring the effectiveness of the implemented process. All to get the highest possible level of savings in the purchasing processes.

We are first in Poland to turn our offer also to small and medium-sized businesses that, despite not having as much purchasing power as large companies, also can, through cooperation within the Group, generate significant cost savings. In addition, not having usually developed purchasing departments, they can outsource this process to BATNA Group and devote all energy to the core business.

Cooperation with interactive agency PLUM –  representatives of the creative sector in a crystal-clear simple way explained innovative idea of Purchasing Groups, arranging in our minds a clear structure of our own services. Then, the structure has been presented in animated film, created for BATNA Group.

How does the SME think it could benefit from other sectors' input?

We see a lot of problems to solve in which only creative sectors can help us. We are looking for new channels to reach the market (especially for a new group of customers, which are small and medium-sized enterprises), modern tools and ways of speaking about the innovative product, innovative means to educate the market. We already have some specific needs (e.g., innovative, inexpensive and effective B2B Internet campaign, ways to automate the process of entering the Group, based on IT tools), but we are mostly open to the contribution of creative industries, which, we hope, will inspire us to apply new solutions that best fit our needs.

What can the SME offer other sectors?

We are happy to share our know-how of purchasing processes, knowledge of negotiation techniques and building relationships with customers and suppliers skills. To foreign companies we can offer valuable information on the Polish market and access to contacts with various Polish companies.

To what extent would the SME be prepared to share information?

Fully. We believe in benefits of openness and exchange of experience. The only barrier is restricted information relating to our customers.

How would the SME describe its potential for cross innovation?

Creating Purchasing Groups is a fully innovative product – based on trust, out-of-the-box thinking, culture of cooperation, partnership and equality of the parties in sector where strength-based processes dominate. As we persuade customers to such an attitude, we also practice it ourselves, which makes us open partner capable of cross-innovation. At the same time we have already recognized the need for contribution of creative industries in our mission and we appreciate the role they have to play in our business model.
